The First: Wil Wheaton points our attention to the pictured sweater, which looks humorously like one that he wore as Wesley Crusher on The Next Generation. Back, and on clearance. Blame the nanites. (And thanks, Mario, for sending me the link.)

The Second: Whilst watching the season premiere of 24, I caught a Jack In The Box ad in which Jack and his milfy non-clown wife are spending some QT with her parents. Jack’s wife is knitting a mega stockinette swatch in bulky apple green on some big wooden needles. What a sign of the knitting times– ten years ago, the knitting would have been in the hands of the elderly mother-in-law. I wish I had happened to notice whether she was knitting, or just “knitting”.
