How many skeins for an adult size?


Since this baby kimono has already been gifted to my friends’ tiny brand-new son, I can share a few pictures:

Pattern: Easily faked by anyone with a basic understanding of the rectangle.
Yarn: Meilenweit sock yarn. Required nearly all of one 400+ yard skein.
Needles: US3 Inox Circulars.

Generally, I’m not a fan of the rectangle kimono. However, if the yarn is a standout, the rectangle garter sweater can be pretty darn cute. As a bonus, I’ve never made anything that folds so adorably:
