“Great Investments”

Ohhhgod. I can’t even continue to look at that pun, and I don’t know why it didn’t bother me when I bought this issue of Vogue Knitting in 1996.

But here’s the start on my In. vest. ment. It’s been happy knitting. Reminiscenty knitting. I realized something when I got this magazine out to cast the thing on– ten years ago, when I made this same vest in some wretched Red Heart for my mom, it was the first adult-sized sweater-like object I’d ever finished. AND, just like I’m doing with the current incarnation, I ditched the instructions at some point and knit the thing in the round, in a different gauge, different length, and sans-argyle. Hooray for ten years of purchasing, reading, and ditching instructions!
