I forgot to title this one, and also there was a typo in the first line.

I have some green dk yarn, also. Its time has come. Last night I cast on for an “Accidentally On Purpose” vest from Stitch ‘N Bitch nation, but today, after converting the size and the gauge and making alterations and finishing something like 6?, I decided that this green yarn really wants to try being a certain fitted vest from an old Vogue mag. Now I’m all kinds of cranky, because the Accidentally On Purpose was my reading/unwinding from exam/trying to dry off from the frickin’ monsoon that sprung up while I was taking that exam project. I have nothing to knit until I go home late this evening. To fill the void, I’m listening to a knitting podcast for the first time.

It’s the Stash and Burn podcast. It’s pleasant, kind of like listening to some friends yarn-talk. Now I understand why everyone enjoys knitting podcasts so much. Bonus: so far they’ve spliced in a bit of Sleater-Kinney and Magnetic Fields. But, man! So much stash-guilt! Something you might have gathered from the tone of my previous post is that I don’t suffer from stash-guilt. I love, LOVE to knit down the stuff in my collection. Searching for the pattern for a yarn I’ve owned for years makes me giddy with glee, possibly moreso than buying new yarn. Most of my yarn goes through two or three false starts before finding its correct incarnation. I love the pursuit of the right sweater for yarn I’ve come to consider an old friend.

So now that I’ve finished 6 months of new-yarn assignment type knitting, I’m in serious stash betrothal mode. Looks like I have an awesome lineup well into summer, finishing this volley with a bamboo Razor Cami. I’d consider putting up an “up next” section on the sidebar, but I’ll change my mind about five times on any given project before a finished object finally falls off the needles.

God I wish I’d brought some extra socks today. I’m soaking still.
